Someone else remembers Virtual Springfield? Sweet! Best part about that game was being able to play Super Slugfest and Larry the Looter in the Kwik-E-Mart

I think I still have it somewhere in the original pink/doughnut flipout case and the clear front box! I should dig it out, my son would love it.

I will be very, very disappointed if this doesn’t end up on PSVR, considering Job Simulator was such a hit for the platform. Glad to read that it can adjust room scale, so it should be compatible with PSVR’s 5 x 5 play area.

So I asked about this, and hopefully it’ll make its way there. For now, PSVR was just announced too late in the dev process for it to be there at launch. I agree that this is the kind of game that would do really well on PSVR.

Got a chance to play a little bit of it this morning just before heading out. It was a lot of fun and provides a lot of fan service (There is a Jerryboree check in sheet hidden under a cabinet.) but I’m a little afraid for the length of the game.

The download for it was under 1GB and after fixing Rick’s ship, I only had like 3 or 4 DVDs left to collect, unless something else opens to show even MORE DVDs to display, but I fear the game itself may be pretty short.

The battery charging mini-game is fun and thankfully it doesn’t punish you for getting 3 strikes and failing an attempt. You do have to start the game again, but the battery progress remains where you last failed.

Once I get home for the day I will be playing more for sure, but again, I just fear that the experience may be a little short for the price. Here’s to some DLC or shit that I’m just not seeing yet.

I asked about DLC stuff and the team seemed overwhelmed by me even asking. That said, if it’s successful, the way it is setup makes it seem like the perfect candidate for additional puzzles/experiences.

Dan Harmon’s other game, Accounting (also featuring Justin Roiland) is a great intro to VR for newbies, just be aware that it’s full of profanity. Wonderful, wonderful profanity.

I like Dan but he didn’t have anything to do with Accounting (It was all Roiland and Pugh for that one) and didn’t have much to do with this one either (He’s been working on a bunch of projects and just like Accounting, this game is more of a Roiland project).

You had me at Job Simulator, which to date is still the most entertaining VR experience I’ve had.

I stood in line for over an hour to play the demo at Pax East. Worth every second.

I think I saw this at the New York ComicCon last year. Big booth setup, easily longest line in the place. I passed on it because I didn’t have 3 hours to kill. Now, I wish I had :(

if more games like this come to VR, it could be enough to convince me to make an investment in the platform

Nailed it. I haven’t seen this game, but the price of entry toa good VR system is pretty steep. And I’m a cheapskate.
