There have been a few rumours of a Hillary run in 2020. Robby Mook didn’t rule it out and Hillary herself has been making speech after speech throwing truth bombs at Trump. It sounds suspiciously like she’s laying early groundwork. Frankly I hope she doesn’t run. Keep speaking truth Hillary, but it’s time for you to step aside and let a fresher face take the reins. And Bernie. Seriously, the super fans of both of these people keep posting items about wanting them to run again in 2020 and I’m just like

Man, she got a raw deal. She did all of that for Russia, and they still used all of the resources available to them to get Trump elected. Ungrateful!

Yeah, I completely agree with your final paragraph. If Trump and his coterie of demons want to keep their base outraged, they’re going to need to find a new boogeyman. Their simple-minded followers require a new infusion of hate.

But this was the whole crux of the Democrats’ failure - they don’t! Since 1991, nothing has been able to motivate the salivating hoards of Republican bigotry quite as well as an image of Hillary Rodham Clinton

I keep imagining that on the podium at which Spicer stands, there’s an index card with four approved responses to most questions:

    1. “I don’t know”

I wouldn’t be surprised if Spicy has actually told the administration to tell him as little as possible about everything, so he can main plausible deniability and be truthful in his ignorance.

    2. “I’m not going to answer that”

For the things he does know, and just doesn’t want to answer, this one works well. I guess. And, it’s the answer that makes him look like he’s fighting back against the press, rather than being the ignoramus that doesn’t know anything.

    3. Blame Obama

Sure, every administration does this to some extent, but the blame game is the only game that Trump really knows (including golf).

    4. Blame Hillary

This is always the craziest of the answers, since she was only Secretary of State, without the broad authority to act. The only reason she’s getting mentioned is because the Trump administration still thinks they’re the Trump campaign.

The frequently mentioned Uranium deal was approved by a 9 member panel, of which Hillary was part, and only the president had veto power. It involved a company (originally a South African company, which later merged with a Canadian company) that had the rights to mine/export around 20% of US uranium exports, in which Russia’s nuclear agency (Rosatom) bought a 51% controlling stake. Clinton’s critics also claim that executives at the company donated $145 million to her foundation in exchange for her approval of the deal. However, the executive that donated $131 million of the total had sold his stake in the company in 2007, and the timing of other payments don’t seem to support the idea of this being any sort of quid pro quo.

However, this does illustrate just how bad of an idea it was for the Clintons to be running a public foundation (one that I’ve donated small amounts of money to in the past) soliciting donations (especially from foreign sources) and getting paid big money for private speeches, if they had any intention of returning to politics. Even though the foundation has been very transparent, and has done great work, it created some really bad optics that surely contributed to her loss. Trump is objectively and subjectively worse, but the fact that he’s been a “businessman” (even if a lying, cheating one) his entire life made it easier for him to sidestep any allegations of impropriety—even the ones at his own “charitable foundation”.

Please, the Bernie voters will eat it up.

As far as their concerned, the primary never ended.

They’ll do whatever they can to keep the campaign-level support going.

I hope it is as stupid as I think it is.

OK I am seriously loving the nicknames.

Also, ya, I’ve been saying this. She lost. She has next to zero power right now. You don’t get to use a powerless person as a boogeyma... oh wait. Nevermind.

Sage fucking advice. They really need to shut up about her and run their own administration into the ground. It needs no help and nothing can rescue it so they should just let nature take its fucking course.

It should be a new season for the Shouty Spice show ... but somehow he just keeps showing Obama and HRC clips from last season.

    We won’t have a renewal, I hope.
