      I was gonna say Corey Lewandowski. Word is he was trying to get people like Manaford fired during the campaign. He was never supposed to make it that far, and as soon Trump saw he had a chance he fired him.

      I assume he would’ve flipped already if he knew anything though =/

    I don’t want to be disappointed by this, but I can’t help but be a bit giddy at how this may shake out. Please help me to temper my excitement.

    Russia is out here trying to destabilize the world and install more hard right assholes or influence hard right politics everywhere, with Poot-poot acting like he wants world domination. I need something to come of this Flynn stuff and I need more people to act like this is all a big deal, so we can hopefully throw the 45 dumpster fire away.

      The NY Times has a rather short item on this right now that kinda implies that he asked for and was denied immunity. So maybe he doesn’t actually have anything juicy. That would be a bummer.

      I hope Flynn has some seriously good security. The high number of dead Russians who may or may not have been involved in nefarious activity with regards to the election makes me think Flynn needs some protection before he gets an opportunity to spill the beans.

    The key here is that they won’t give him immunity unless he’s got something good for them. He can’t sign the deal and then say, “Sorry pals, I got nothing.” He needs to provide them with actionable info for the immunity to be granted.

    I’m sure he knows this, he wouldn’t even dare ask for it unless he had something juicy on someone big, much bigger than himself. There aren’t many people who fit that bill.

      Precisely. Whether he did anything wrong is kind of beside the point now. Clearly he did. The question is, can he give investigators a bigger fish so that they’re willing to let him go free? And a national security adviser is a pretty big fish, so it would take a bombshell of historic proportions to make them want to give him a pass.

    I think the best scenario here is if if Flynn hobbles that asshole Trump but doesn’t kill his administration because if Trump is impeached or resigns then we have that evil fucking boy scout Pence to deal with. The bitch is evil but he is competent and can smile while sticking the knife in your asshole. Hobble and fucking humiliate Trump but leave him in office to flounder and also spread his rotting stench over the entire republican brand in ways that takes them down at the national, state and local levels for decades to come.
