Despite loving Obama, he’s partly to blame for this as well. He wanted to take the high road and appear to remain impartial in the election, so he chose to not press the matter (even though they all knew Russia was leaking info to hurt Hillary and pumping fake news and propaganda into our social media), because he knew the GOP would say he was playing favorites and was trying to influence the election *himself*. Likely, he was trying not to taint Hillary’s victory with accusations that would result in probably hundreds of GOP investigations. But then Trump happened.

From what I get from this story, he wanted more concrete proof...

President Barack Obama’s White House balked at the idea because it believed a public revelation that serious should be backed by intelligence sources, the president and multiple agents.

...which, while it delayed the news getting out, seems to be better than just letting it out there with no actual proof. But I think that out there at that time would have been just as bad as what actually DID happen.

My question is why did Comey hem and haw on this but felt no reason to wait on the Hillary info even though he later backtracked.

I dunno, it’s ALL fucked up...

Thank you. I totally agree I would rather have someone who wants complete evidence in this situation. Rather than someone who makes claims that a former president wiretapped his buildings. When it complete bullshit. Someone who understands what it means to be a president not a monorail.

Is it just me or does every politician and person that works in government lately seem really eager to be in public eye? They all seem to want the spotlight, they saved the president, they discovered a leak, they disagree with this person or statement. They all seem to be grandstanding, just like Trump.
