    Well, of course this administration doesn’t want accurate information about sexual orientation or gender identity. For that matter, they don’t want accurate information about anything, really.

      It’s much easier to make alternative facts if you don’t have hard numbers getting in the way. Not much different from the CDC not being allowed to collect data and shooting deaths.

      They do want accurate information about how little they must pay in taxes. That really is the only thing that really matters. Everything else is theater and manipulation.

    One of the big concerns amongst the political junkies is who would control the next census. There has been years if handwringing that, if they are in control, the GOP would subvert this vital tool.

    Well, here we are. And here they are.

    Trying to sabotage the data, so no one can make an informed choice.

      But even if those questions were in the census, I wouldn’t answer as anything other than cisgendered and heterosexual (which I happen to be, although that’s not my point.) Does anyone want to provide the 45 Gestapo that sort of information?

    This is part of a larger push to cease asking about LGBTQ+ people in surveys (see links below). This also comes on the heels of other very troubling actions that are horrible for LGBTQ+ people (see below). I’d really like to see broader coverage of all of these actions together to really demonstrate that they are going after LGBTQ+ people right now.
