“The NYPD refuted the claim, saying that no chokehold was used, nor did the teen suffer from a seizure. Officials claim that cops were responding to a call about a man with a firearm when the teen started “running and threw himself on the ground before faking a seizure,” the Daily News notes.”

Even if he was faking it, how could they possibly know that at the time?

      Exactly this.

Seizure symptoms can display in countless ways, ranging from mild tremors or a vacant stare, to the more commonly associated full body grand mal seizures. Unless the officers were also medical professionals with a full suite of equipment in tow, they were not in any position to make any such judgment.

How many times have the police claimed someone was faking a medical condition only to have the person die because they didn’t get the medical attention they needed.

These pigs are not doctors or nurses or even EMTs. If someone claims to need a doctor get them the goddamn medical personnel if it’s faked it’s fake but better to err on the side of caution.

Of course, for that to happen you have to see the people you interact with as human and the police don’t do that.

Also, why the fuck are they arresting him on Marijuana charges? That’s a ticket offense now they have no business doing anything more than issuing the fucking ticket and letting him on his way.

“The NYPD refuted the claim, saying that no chokehold was used.”

And would should this be believed? We all saw a NYPD officer choke a man to death on camera (surrounded by other cops), and the cop is still breathing free air. You don’t get any benefit of the doubt anymore.

“Disorderly conduct and possession of pot”. So, charged with fake crimes, as usual.
