    This morning, literally 15 or 20 minutes ago I was coming into work on the train and it was a decently full car so I was standing with my headphones on tuning out the world. In front of me was a woman, dressed as though she was going to work but it appeared she was talking to herself, since no one seemed to be paying attention to her. The train pulled into a stop and the woman started talking louder (I couldnt hear her) and gesturing like she was upset. I slipped one headphone off to be noisy and from behind me I hear a man and a woman asking the one in front of me to calm down and that she is being ignorant. I turn around to see what is going on and I see a young woman in a hijab and the woman in front me starts accusing her of killing three people here (I live in Boston) before she got up and stormed off the train.

    Some of the folks around the young girl started apologizing and asking if she was okay and she was just kind of smirking and said, “I want even paying attention to that bitch.”

      Yeah, Orange Line. There are a lot of Muslims that live in areas like Malden, Medford and other areas in the vicinity of its service area so its not like seeing a Muslim woman on the train is abnormal, its a daily occurrence, and until today I had never witness anyone try to harrass them. Which is not to say it hasnt happened, but I commute in and out on the Orange Line daily during rush hour and most people just mind their business. I have seen scammers asking for commuter rail fare, drunks, and kids being obnoxiously loud as fairly regular occurrences but nothing resembling racial abuse.

    Predictable, all the wackos suddenly grew a tiny pair, now that they feel they have backups.
