It’s chilling that this came to light because her father found shotgun ammunition in her backpack, but it wasn’t until the police search that anyone discovered the explosive components she’d been stockpiling.

And I’m still surprised that she was taking courses on criminal justice while aspiring to be the first female school shooter.

Yeah, they did the right thing, but can you imagine the heartache of having to call the cops on your own kid? Just awful.

According to authorities, Cevario had notes on the school’s emergency procedures involving security and drills, as well as information on security personnel assigned to the school. The journal also contained a timeline of how Cevario planned to carry out her plot, and her “expectations at each stage in the event,” according to authorities.

Since no one got hurt, is it safe to admire her organization and detailed planning? If her doctors can figure out a way to turn off her homicidal impulses, she will be successful in her chosen field.

According to her diary, those homicidal impulses were a way for her to achieve suicide-by-cop. I imagine mental health professionals have a experience with patients like that, so proper treatment probably could turn her into an effective intelligence asset for the government.

Sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Tim Clarke told the Post that Cevario’s parents reported their concerns to school officials on Thursday, and law enforcement removed her from a classroom at the school that day…

They really didn’t want this in the news on the 27th, did they?

I’m surprised at the charges, I would have expected something along the lines of conspiracy to commit domestic terrorism or similar. Intelligence gathering and detailed planning aren’t the same as throwing together some homemade IEDs in terms of criminal charges.
