    If your head is spinning, don’t worry my head is spinning too.

    Remember that it’s not the crime that got Nixon, but the coverup attempt. And Trump isn’t half as smart as Tricky Dick when it comes to maintaining plausible deniability.

      Well said, while we’re at it. Take a moment to breathe, because between the Watergate break in and Nixons resignation we had a solid two years go by.

    Can the Republicans not see that their leader is full of shit? It seems silly to torpedo one’s own career for such an obvious charlitan.

      They can but they are willing to do whatever it takes to advance. That’s why I think you see so much ineptitude (thanks guys!) surrounding this administration. The people who see how poisonous this regime is are either playing both sides or completely against it. The ones who know that this is their only shot to advance are jumping at the perceived opportunity and doing as they’re told in hopes of being seen as an integral part of this dumpster fire. They believe that by helping trump he’ll help them. I mean, ha!

      I could be wrong but honestly I don’t think I am.

    Why is Congress letting him do anything? WTF. He’s tampering the investigation (if there is one), and obstructing the efforts of the FBI. Plus, he’s got Putin wine money.

      Because Congress is controlled by HIS PARTY.

      I’m frustrated as **** with Democrats who took neither charge nor action sooner, but I’m getting almost as frustrated with fellow citizens who don’t understand that when all the corrupt people tied to a foreign power are in one party and that party has control of at least two branches of U.S. government, any investigation will slow down to the least tempo they can drag it.

      Republicans are the majority party in the Executive Branch and in both houses of Congress. Unless we pitch in and hammer our Congresspeople and Senators with some ideas (like NO EXECUTIVE ACTION UNTIL THE FBI COMPLETES ITS CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS), they will try to keep on with their horrorshow to either disenfranchise or exterminate most of us and they will keep on trying to bilk as much of the U.S. Treasury resources as they can before either being indicted or forced to flee the country.

      They are not going to stop because they’re principled. If there are any Republicans like that, they are NOT in this Maladministration. So please stop with all that pipedreaming.

      (You too, Senator Schumer. I’m talking to you.)

    Looks like Nunes met with Flynn and the Turkish Foreign Minister on Jan 17th...I wonder if that meeting was taped by the FBI and that’s what got Nunes all worried ;

    How do they not realize that this story makes them look worse? First, it still shows that Trump was wrong/lying about being wiretapped. Second, it volunteers the information that the campaign was in contact with foreign nationals who were already being investigated by our intelligence agencies.

    Nunes’ explanation doesn’t make sense. Why did he need to meet on the White House grounds? (note, only approved individuals have access). He claims it is because classification laws, but that’s flimsy. Anyone authorized for raw intel is probably authorized to move it in an approved lockbox. They could have gone to the Capitol to use a SCIF (a secure room for intel) there. But they’d have been logged as a visitor there. So Nunes snuck off to the White House grounds where there isn’t a published log because Trump is too busy golfing.

    So either A. the source works for the White House and that’s why that site was chosen or B. the source is willfully trying to avoid being exposed, which is equally problematic given Nunes refuses to share this “intel” with the committee.

    This is bad spy novel stuff. Nunes needs to be removed right now. If Republicans do nothing, and it turns out he was acting out of political motivation, they’ll get burned.

      The problem being that you can’t really “sneak” onto WH grounds very long. Either it was arranged and legitimately approved of before, or they noted and recorded it for later to ring up another perjury charge.

      Yeah I mean someone had to approve Nunes being there. We don’t know who, and the White House is playing dumb. That also presumably means his source either was already approved to be on the grounds, aka an executive employee, or the source was also approved by someone at the White House for entry.

      It’s very suspicious.
