I wonder if they bother to bring some evidence this time. It’s going to be pretty hard to argue their intent wasn’t impermissible animus if you can’t provide anything even close to objective that supports the need for a policy change.

It would have banned people...from entering the US for 90 days and all refugees for 120 days.

Can someone explain this for me. What could this ban possibly change in that short time span? Is that the maximum amount of time they could apply it? Is the intent to just keep extending the ban every 90/120 days?

Ding ding ding ding ding ding!

Ever since I first heard them use the word “temporary” for this, I called bullshit. Then I went looking into the text of the order aaaand... yep. As you might expect, it can be extended by a few cabinet members or some bullshit like that. And CBP have leeway in how they handle “case-by-case” evaluations of who to let in. So guess who is getting left at the border? Indefinitely.

      Rhymes with muslin.

And what seems insane to normal people...his base is eating up as fast as they can. Just mentioning the 9th circuit triggers a conservative like little else. What he doesn’t seem to realize is that that doesn’t mean jack in a courtroom. I’m not sure he cares, though. As often as he loses, he’ll just respond by ranting about the meanie activist judges. And they’ll continue to eat it up.

He’s either still running for President or starting his re-election bid. Anything but doing his assigned job. I’ve had to work around people like that. In a fairly literal sense. They are too busy schmoozing to actually lower themselves to work at their job.

By the way, he just screwed over his support in coal country.

Oh, he’s working. This is just who he is. I can’t find it right now, but look for the story about his connection to roy cohn. It explains so much about his behavior.
