    This is so sad. I’m sure they’ve been trying to resolve the issue, but I feel like T-Mobile holds a lot of responsibility here. You get in deep shit for prank 911 calls in a lot of places - T-Mobile basically has them happening on a massive scale. Is this happening in other cities too!?

      In Virginia I’ve gotten text alerts from the County I live in saying that AT&T customers may be experiencing issues calling 911 and instructing people to call from an non AT&T number. Not sure if it’s the same issue or not, but it has happened several times in the last few months.

    I’m guessing the babysitter didn’t have a car. There’s a chance the child would have died even if she’d gotten through to 911, but after not being able to get through, I would have driven him to a doctor myself, assuming a vehicle was available. Maybe run over to a neighbor, if not. Then again, we’d all make the right decision in our minds, sitting here reading about it at our leisure.
