    Ugh. *eyeroll* This was basically a long form of what the Nicki fans have been spewing on twitter for weeks now- except you’re not telling me to go run into traffic.

    Everyone said- even when shEther dropped- that Nicki was going to be fine. This wasn’t about sales or twitter traffic, or how many songs you can name. Yeah, duh, of course Nicki wins.

    This was about the art of rapping. This was about the tradition of the rap beef. Nicki failed. She got the L. She’s no dummy. She ignored how this whole thing works, took way too long, and came back with two dudes who had no business being there and tried to get back up from Waverly Place and Miss High Ponytail Who Won’t Enunciate.

    Can we not all move on? The girl is gonna be fine. And you know what? So is Remy.

      Even though I love Michael, I couldn’t even read the whole thing. Why he thinks Nicki deserves respect for being the “lone female at the top of rap...” is beyond me. She’s been releasing pop records! 

      Can anyone name a single Nicki verse that’s gotten or deserved the buzz of the one on “Monster”? I’ll wait... Seven years and what’d she do with it?

      I finally went to watch her video Nas was in and the song was so trash I had to turn the sound off b/c it was killing my vibe. Like, not even visuals of Nasir could save that shit.

    I really want Remy to win, but I have to agree with you that she should’ve dropped shETHER and kept it moving. Just focus on her new album.

    Remy’s been away for a long time and she was probably all caught up in the rapture of attention and talk show appearances so I can’t be too mad at her.

    Nicki lost. It’s fine. She still has talent. She’s still more famous, has more albums and whatnot. She will be ok. Let Remy have her time.

    I gotta say this... Minaj is hitting charts because of white people. Ma will only be heard and copped by POC’s. So, while your article uses this chart poppin form of acceleration to punch your point, you’re falling in line with all the pop hype that wypipo have positioned Minaj for their commercial interests and anally fingering of hip hop.
