    “THEY ARE CRIMINALS. AMERICA IS A WHITE NATION,”

    I love how in their effort to rewrite history they don’t see the trading in human flesh as a crime. They don’t see forcing Indigenous people off their land as a crime. They don’t see race riots as a crime. They don’t see lynching as a crime. They don’t see interning Japanese people as a crime. They don’t see anything Europeans do as a crime and that is the essence of what I like to call White Lies. We’re taught everyone tells white lies, meaning that it’s not a horrible thing. These forms of revisionism, from America as a white nation or English is the language of freedom is a way to disguise the vicious lie behind these assertions. White Lies, not just a shitty band from England.

    I think the intention of deterrence is also central to it. It’s to terrorize us away from the campuses and education. It is ridiculous that people on the commenting section of Washington Post article are theorizing that this is BLM subterfuge.

      The Post comments are inundated with StormFront and white nationalist folks, intentionally. There’s a rumor that they are paid to comment on certain sites to support certain political agendas.

      Not sure if that’s true, but there’s no point in reading their nonsense. It’ll just make your blood boil.

    GWU is the wrong sort of university to target. I suppose there could be a few closet alt-right shitheads in it for the networking, but that’s not really the reputation. It’s very much an internationalist/pluralist school. You’re more likely to find a white guy speaking Arabic than a white guy tossing out alt-right cliches.

    That said, I’d love to rip up all their flyers nonetheless. As well as make sure their photos end up online so we can contact their family and or places of work.

      The Root was recently promoted from a kinja-based blog like TAY and Crosstalk. I guess nobody at Gizmodo/Univision Media Group was asked by the one who promoted The Root to a main site for an SSL cert.

    Every old school college in america has ties to slavery so I’d say these institutes of higher learning have done a great job of that all by themselves, what with their legacy students, mostly white leaders and faculty, segregated classes and degrees, and refusal to admit their complicity in sustaining slavery, jim crow, segregation, and limited help to public city schools and students, and keeping costs out of reach of their surrounding communities of black and brown folk.

    What upsets me is that conservatives who are NOT members of these white nationalist groups defend them by saying liberals are too “easily offended”. They believe it should be acceptable to terrorize people. Everyone should be “offended” by terror. If you truly believe in fighting terrorism, then all forms of terrorism must be eliminated. Terrorism by one group does not justify another. It’s just a matter of time before these white nationalist groups begin a violent terror campaign. We’re already seeing the roots of it.

    The posters were apparently sent out by Vanguard America, which told the Post in an email that it is the group’s hope “to raise awareness amongst college students regarding the problems facing the world today, and to advocate for a National Socialist solution to these problems.”

    Sounds like a ploy to play the victim when their tactics are soundly rejected. Logistically speaking, DC area schools are a terrible target for this. Even the most conservative ones aren’t a particularly receptive crowd for this message.
