    The only way an impeachment can really move forward is if enough people in the senate vote for it, right? Even if the inquiry finds it I suspect the people at the switch will intentionally not give a fuck... which probably is a bad sign about the system.

      The impeachment hearing would, I assume, get a lot of press. Every single member of the senate who votes will have to explain, in detail, why they think what Trump has done so far is OK. They’ll have to permanently be on the record stating they’re ok with Russians meddling in our elections, billionaires buying slots in the cabinet, the administration hocking products like the White House is a goddamn flea market, and the myriad of other shitty things this administration has done in such a short time.

      Aside from the Trump part... they already have gone on the record stating they were ok with those things considering they had to vote on the appointees, were cool with the FBI director keeping them in the dark and releasing data at inappropriate times, etc.

      Depending on what they would use (I’m not even sure it could go to actual hearing without the senate approval), I don’t know if much of this already shitty stuff would be part of the discussion.

      The interesting part would be that while Paul Ryan and Pence have chugged hard from Trump’s balls... they may immediately turn to stab him in the back at the prospect of being Pres and VP as well as being able to write off every fuckup as “Totes not us”.

    Can someone please find a law, any law, statute, rule or process to STOP THE GORSUCH HEARINGS UNTIL THE FBI INVESTIGATION IS CONCLUDED?? An illegitimate President who is likely to be indicted for TREASON should not get to appoint a nominee to a LIFE TIME COURT SEAT. STOP THIS MADNESS!
