At what point will President Trump get down to the business of serving the American people instead of catering to his own fragile masculinity and ego?

    never.

he didnt run for president to serve the american people, he ran because it was a thing he wanted to win. now that he’s won, he has no idea what to do, so he’s falling back on the only experience he has, running a business, poorly...so he’s gonna be the boss.

what does the boss do? does he make his employees happy and do whats best for them, or does he tell everyone what to do and do whatever it takes to make himself happy? this is rhetorical, of course.

everything he does he does in the context of business and money and beign respected as the shot caller - berkeley protests? defund them. iran nuclear program? it was a bad deal. immigrants? likely shoplifters, kick them out of the store.

anyone still in government who isnt shouting at the top of their lungs that this is no longer a democracy, but a kleptocracy, is part of the problem.

It just seems like it would actually be easier to serve the American people. This evil is not even efficient.

But yeah, bullying is his only tool. That’s predictable, at least. The rest of Satan’s clown car though...

The pathetic thing is so few in the media are calling him out for his authoritarianism. Oh, there is definitely a lot of shade but few people outright calling him for what he is: a bigoted fascist who has already broken some laws.

Just look at the people patting Gorsuch on the back like he’s some great dude for stating the obvious.

Until we deal the rampaging llamas in the Southwest all these other problems are trivial. How long will our president ignore the obvious threat these out of control ungulates pose to the American way of life? Why doesn’t Trump care about national security? Our president is obviously in the pocket of Big Llama and he won’t raise a finger while these beasts kill thousands of children.

I love all the dumbass white people chasing them like they’re going to catch them. Then a truck with 3 Mexicans rolls up and quickly lassos it at the end.

Mexicans have been our main line of defense against llamas for generations. Now that Trump is deporting them, we’re going to be completely helpless.

Trump is declaring a War on Drugs, a War on Crime, and a War on Dirty Brown People.

Never mind that violent crime has been falling nationwide for decades, Trump is thrashing around looking for an “enemy” to “unify” America against. It’s page 1 out of the authoritarian / fascism playbook. And then denounce loudly and stridently anyone that opposes his idiocy.

Next, I bet you he’ll sound the alarm about all these people caught with nonviolent drug possession that AREN’T GETTING LOCKED UP. Clearly we need tougher law enforcement to send all those lawbreakers to jail forever, and then we can create more jobs by building more prisons. Win! Win! The biggest win!

    Well, obviously NEVER.

But apparently law and order will still be brought to the ‘inner city’.

It’s not so much a case of yelling “Fire” in a crowded theatre as it is yelling “Fire” in a crowded swimming pool - startling, but mostly confusing.

My guess is that this is just the first sally as President Vacuous Negation makes hay on criminal justice. Having hollered “emergency” until he’s blubbering, and all of us want to stop our ears, the real agenda will be to promote for-profit prisons and their contracted services, to house more black kids for ultra petty (or non existent) crimes that are simple rites of passage for white kids. And to keep cops fat and happy, which means, above the law.

Instead of this racist rubbish, we should turn our energy to naming and criminalizing cruel and unusual practices in for-profit prisons, and end the practices of lobbyists who pad the accounts of Republican politicians in what must be the single most immoral campaign finance interest conflict in the land.
