    Judge Richard Clifton, a George W. Bush appointee, argued that the ban couldn’t unfairly target Muslims when only 15 percent of the world’s Muslims are affected by the ban.

    Man, I hate this flawed logic. Just because you aren’t discriminating against  everyone of a certain religion doesn’t mean you can’t be discriminating against some of them. Even if you’re picking just seven countries, and telling Muslims from those countries to go to the back of the line (or to simply not come at all), you’re still targeting Muslims. Jeesh!

    Still, good that the vote was unanimous ...

      Some positivity here: if the old liberals can hold out a bit longer and he only gets one pick on there, it’s still not going to be a done deal. The Scalia SCOTUS was still not 100% conservative, and Gorsuch has also spoken out against Trump’s contempt for the court system already. While they do lean one direction or another, the percentage of SC justices with integrity is a higher percentage than like, in Congress, so it’s not going to be the blank check he thinks it will.

      Now that second or third pick....we’ve got to start worrying. But if we can flip the senate before that happens we will be in better shape.

      They all kiss the goddamn ring eventually. And I don’t trust Neil “Fascism Forever” Gorsuch to be any different the *second* he is seated.
