Harris seems great; Booker should be kept as far away as possible.

She’s my senator and I’d like to see her run for President in four or eight years. Whip smart, rational and practical, compassionate- I truly believe she could peel off five percent of the Trump vote while unifying both moderate and liberal Democrats.

You’re placing a lot of faith in the idea that we still might have a country in 4-8 years. No sarcasm whatsoever here, I genuinely admire your optimism.

Harris’ jovial nature and easy laugh can lull you into a sense of relaxation, but that might be your last mistake. Harris is a beast, and she’s relentless at pursuing what she knows to be right.

Thus proving that one can lead with honey and bring out the stick MIGHTY quick.

SIDEBAR: I love her approach, personally. No invective-laced reactivity, no diving off the cliff of emotion, just “Okay, let’s take it outside and see how this all shakes out. ::sly smile::” Sometimes being unshakably resilient is armor and weapon all in one.

A photo of her accompanied the first positive thing I read after the election. It was the first time I smiled, the first time I felt hope. I am so excited to see her there. We need more and more people like this representing us.

I actually got teared up listening to her defend Elizabeth Warren the other night. You could hear the nger at the bottom of her voice. I can’t wait to watch her career as it moves along.
