Don’t worry. This judge is on borrowed time. Once Jeff Sessions is...

A file a formal complaint while you’re at it.

Racists can never, EVER look n the mirror...
His rosacea, that half closed stroke eye, the fact that his skin is of the same consistency as play-dough, the non-existent primate lips...

Do not be fooled by the media. Sessions has long been against racism. Before you make comments like this, you should do your own research about the history of Sessions and his actions.

“In that letter she would be referring to perhaps some of his comments however, she would agree today that he of course ended some school desegregation. He [Sessions] worked to prosecute members of the KKK. Aunt Coretta was a very reasonable woman, and she, with integrity, would have noted that he had done some great work in fighting discrimination.” - Dr. Alveda King

This is a petition to get this racist dog unseated: https://www.change.org/p/the-louisiana-supreme-court-and-judiciary-commission-fire-judge-mike-erwin-now As of this moment it only has about 300 signatures. Anyway, he needs to lose his job like yesterday.

I did and didn’t want to.

I looked, and I was like “Gotta read the story!” “No, I don’t want to!” “Gotta stay informed! Opposition research!” “NO. I DON’T WANT TO.”

Lolololol!! This is why what happened in the election didn’t even break my stride. This incident is the truth of Louisiana, & it’s where I live. I go to Sammy’s all the time, & the owner won’t put up with this shit, bc business is GOOD, & he’s not letting someone like this taint his establishment. However, I doubt he was taking a moral stand. This judge is representative of the average white person in LA anywhere outside of N. Orleans. He’s my former classmates, & my current & former neighbors. We just don’t have a lot of “throwdowns” so to speak, bc while people here are no strangers to fistfights (all classes, it’s the Deep South), it’s understood that there’s a good chance you’ll get a bullet. This was likely a night at Sammy’s where there were mostly white people around & the crowd in earshot was sparse. It has indoor & outdoor seating, but while blacks & whites go there, it’s definitely a backwards baseball cap, LSU shirt & cargo shorts place. Lots of different kinds of people go there, but it’s planted right along the area of Highland Rd. where all the $1-5 million plus homes are, & 2 minutes from a home that went for $6 million last year (you can get a lot of house here for just $250,000, so just keep that in mind). Anyway, point is, when you go to Sammy’s, it’s understood that a teacher’s may be seated next to a doctor’s family, as well as people like Shaq & Drew Brees when they come through. However, racists aren’t going to stop their bullshit, even while waiting for some good seafood, so you get shit like this judge. Frankly, he felt so comfortable saying that shit, bc that’s the kind of state Louisiana is. BR proper is over 50% black, & I’ve always said people like this judge should move their asses to Wyoming or Montana, if they only want to see other white people. Even with the demographics being what they are, he can avoid interacting w/ blacks outside of his job, bc of the way the city is divided. It’s a fact that everyone he’s sending to jail comes from the other side of town. However, we’re “sprinkled” in even the wealthiest areas, so he’s probably pissed as fuck about “those niggers that moved around the corner” from him, too- especially since the only thing that makes a racist angrier than a black criminal, is a black success story.

Any case concerning a minority that he ruled on should be reviewed extensively. But it won’t be.

So what will this man try to say to convince us he’s not a racist? The ol’ “I was heated and said something I didn’t mean” approach? Maybe he’ll complain about how black people use the word all the time, so he shouldn’t be reprimanded for it?

People talk a lot about generations “coming of age,” but with lifespans getting longer, and with people being able to give the appearance of thriving (especially affluent, educated people with access to good healthcare) in their careers much longer than ever, it’s also time to start think seriously about generations “going a bit dotty,” en masse. At a certain age, there are changes in the brain that affect things like impulse control.

Two things are happening right now. First, white people who used to be “problematic racist grandparents” puttering around in their gardens and watching Matlock are now continuing to do jobs where they have power and influence. For the record, I never thought anyone’s “kooky old racist grampa” was cute, I always thought they were angry and resentful old pieces of garbage who made the world more toxic. Now they’re still that AND they have the power to do more than making the occasional dinner awkward.

The second thing is, an entire generation of affluent white people who came of age in the late 60s and who had to learn to keep their racism and bigotry low key through the years (until it got so bad you had to look around before you told that great joke about JFK and the hooker from Detroit even at the country club!) are now going dotty at once. And they are going dotty in a world where Bannon and his puppet Trump are now in charge and open bigotry is coming back in style. So now their minds are even more closed than ever, their mouths are open, their bank accounts are full, and their signatures carry the force of law.

    Fuck.
