Cat behaviorist here. I can say for certain what he’s saying is “I sure do wish I were born when in an era where the Humane Society was on set and ps I’m scared and uncomfortable where is my mom take me home please”. I doubt there was cruelty but film animals were treated more like props back then and many didn’t have good accommodations, in fact many times cats had “stunt doubles” or triples or quadruplets. Shy and scared cats were used far too often. As an aside ability to speak out, be a wiseass, stand up for animals well needless to say I have Sigourney Weaver to thank, who when I saw her in Aliens when I was 8 years old taught me that women naturally kicked ass both awake and in their sleep.

Would a xenomorph kill a house cat?
We know they will lay eggs in anything large enough to host a warrior. But house cats may be too small. I suppose the xenomorph may eat the cat. But if the xenomorph is satisfied, may he take the house cat in as a pet?
The trick for the cat, he needs to find some role he can perform that benefits the hive. If he can manage that, he may be able to establish a symbiotic relationship with the xenomorphs.
That’s a relationship that would give Rocket/Groot pause to consider alternatives.
