You could also add 2 TBSP of (#liquor) and reduce to a thicker texture for say, a syrup to drizzle over ice cream. Stir constantly - this is sugar city and you don’t want it to burn. Also, I like fruit flavored white rums here: orange, lemon, raspberry and peach work really well and don’t overpower the pomegranate.

Rum works into desserts very well: it’s fermented from sugarcane products (which vary, depending on the type you use) which don’t give it the same bite, burn or smoke that you’d find in say, gin or vodka or whiskies.
