      Like Moon suggested, Samurize is a good option if you don't like Rainmeter, but it's long since been abandoned and you may have trouble with it. You can also try out XWidget, which is a bit less monitors and more Dashboard and widgets: http://lifehacker.com/5850396/xwidge…
