The line about Fergie's baby shower came right after the one about Pippa, Harry, and wee George, so I still had Brits on my mind. I immediately thought of the other Fergie and wondered how it was not bigger news that she was pregnant. And then the 'duh' set in.

Now, to be fair- the seventies were a different time and apricot was a very lusty color. Has she ever said who that song is actually about? I keep hearing/reading Warren Beatty- but that may just be urban legend.

She told Dick Ebersol (NBC sports guy something), who won the "secret" as part of a charity auction.

She's never said, but you're right—Warren Beatty is the urban legend.

So have we stopped officially making fun of Amanda Bynes and now we're on to faux-concern? Because you guys were pretty brutal for months.

It seems to (unlicensed psychiatrist) me that she's exhibiting many signs of bipolar disorder. Can someone get this girl on a mood stabilizer?

I'm only two years into my bachelors in psych, but it seems obvious to me that that girl has Bipolar Type 1 with psychosis. I hope she's getting diagnosed right now while she's under the 5150 because Amanda seriously needs some anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers, and good 'ole fashion therapy.

Here's an idea, Johnny Depp: Instead of "quitting acting," why don't you try playing a different character than the one you've been playing over and over for the last decade?

It's sad because it seems like he's one of many actors/writers/directors that at some point they hit a plateau and they're no longer good anymore and everything they do is generic and lifeless.

It's like that theory that people are only great when they're struggling, because they have all this frustrating bullshit to fuel them. Once they become old, rich, and comfortable they lose their spark.

Johnny Depp is semi-close to quitting acting after the failure of The Lone Ranger.

I feel like someone should stage an intervention for him, Burton and Helena Bonham Carter, because they all do far and away their best work when they're not working with each other. I'd love to see some Benny and Joon era Depp, and some more Fight Club era Bonham Carter!

For a grown woman, I have far too big of a crush on this man. But yeah, at least a 10 year sabbatical wouldn't be a bad thing.

"Johnny Depp is semi-close to quitting acting after the failure of The Lone Ranger."

He's a good actor. He really is. But he helped create that god-awful character, so maybe what he needs to do is quit writing and quit adding creative input and get himself a better agent who will tell him the truth. I'm sure there's more than one person in his life who knew how stupid his ideas were but for some reason either they couldn't bring themselves to say anything or he wouldn't listen.

Not so sure he'll listen to the truth. His PR talk about Tonto sounded like he was believing his own bullshit in a big way.

That's what I figured. I remember him going on about how he moved to France because he couldn't stand American politics (during the Bush administration) and realized then what a complete tool he was.

It seems like when celebrities lose weight after noticeably gaining some, it always follows comments about how "proud" they are of their curves. Why the change of heart? If they weren't proud to begin with, why not just say "yeah I've gained some weight, and I'm going to work to get it off again." Or if they were proud, was their spirit finally broken and they relented to be a slave to the scale?
