Comptroller, which is basically a glorified (?) accountant.

There have been lots of cool accountants! Just change what you call it:

    El Contador!

    Master of Coin

Incidentally, they have also all been with prostitutes.

Are we still supposed to be upset that a consenting adult paid another consenting adult for sex? I know there are a lot of sex workers who face horrible exploitation, but I don't think that someone who gets paid about $5,000 per encounter is likely to be one of them.

Considering her prosecuted several high-end prostitution rings as NY attorney general, I'd say that a little bit of shade can be thrown his way on this one.

I believe he's the kind of "feminist" who non-consensually pulled off condoms during sex with prostitutes, so go FUCK YOURSELF, Spitzer.

I will never understand why people snark hard on folks who, as you put, 'paid to have sex with women' but then turn around and talk about respecting sex workers jobs. (which I am totally down for, no snark there). Don't they go hand in hand? Is there something morally wrong with paying for sex, when there is nothing wrong with sexing for pay?

I don't have high exceptions when it comes to politicians, so him "playing the game" to get back into politics doesn't really bother me. At least he isn't one of those "family values" politicians trying to make a comeback.

I agree, politicians who run on "family issues" and cheat on their families are hypocrites. But isn't it just as hypocritical for a politician to make his name prosecuting prostitution rings and on anti-human trafficking laws and then spend thousands of dollars on hookers?

Oh, it totally is, but I've gotten use to politicians being the biggest hypocrites. We see this all the time were a politician is fully against something in public, but behind close doors is doing the thing they so passionately rally against in public.

life IS complicated. like how female prostitutes are vilified objectified. or how prostitutes are often subjected to harsh (even felony) sentencing, and solicitors (aka 'johns') are subjected to a tiny slap on the wrist (at least in illinois, hopefully not for very long now: http://www.enddemandillinois.org/newsitems/edi-...). but hey, maybe he gets a pat on the back because he went with a high end escort service, rather than a prostitute who subjects herself to such exploitation in order to support a debilitating addiction? YAY, mr. spitzer!!

My response to this is my response to all things Eliot Sptizer: Meh. Okay. Not changing much though, are you?
