"Mahnke also allegedly told him President Obama and his wife and two children would be kicked out of the White House and “sent back to Africa” after the 2012 elections."

This is terrible, but "shocking?" Not really. Obama's election and re-election sent many people off the deep end. There are ignorant, hateful people everywhere who can't handle a black president.

I hope Ibela wins his lawsuit.

Dear Diane, that sculpture does not look like lipstick. It looks like my dog's dick when he's got an erection. No erection photo, but here's Fred the Airedale, dwarfing a Fiat 500 in the Castro.

What kind of dog is that? Absurd levels of cute.

The breed is Airedale. He's in desperate need of a grooming in that photo. Once a year he' looks completely different with a shorter coat.

Can we please declare a moratorium on use of the word "shocking"? I haven't been genuinely shocked by any news report in a number of years, and I can't think of anyone I know who has. In addition, it makes the writer sound like they work for the Daily News.

I agree "shocking" is not the word for this, but you haven't been shocked by a recent news report? What about thee three women rescued from their abductor in Cleveand? Or the recent reports of 23 children poisoned and killed by their school lunches in India. The radio news report I heard described the large mound of dirt in front of the closed school — where the parents had buried their children in a mass grave in protest.

Appalled, maybe, in the case of the Indian children, but I think the last news that truly shocked me was 9/11.
