      That's it! They look like they're in nylon. If that's the case, it makes more sense, but if it was just supposed to make them "shiny" it is really weird.

    Finally someone talking about how corporate social responsibility DOES NOT WORK. I hate how the media acts like these big companies signing on to this initiative voluntarily is going to make a giant change for factory workers. Most academic sources on the matter agree that CSR does not work, and that the public's attention span is too short for it to be truly effective. The system needs to change in more tangible ways than empty corporate promises.

      Nah they have one legal responsibility which is profits. Being socially responsible is a choice; albeit a choice based on appearances and not actual substance.
