It is an inevitable tide. Marriage equality will happen.

That ad strangely always evokes a lot of emotion in me...it perfectly characterizes what is wrong with having to ask for marriage equality.

Gotta wonder where the Religious Right turns next when they realize that even the GOP is leaving them behind.

I mean, not at the local level, and certainly not in the gerrymandered House, but I guess it's got to start somewhere...

Oh I know, I know. But demographics dictate that this party needs to change its approach to social issues to remain remotely viable at the national level. And you already have religious leaders issuing warnings to the party not to abandon them.

      Just interesting to think about.

Shouldn't this headline read "Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski Endorses Primary-Opponent-To-Be-Named-Later in 2016 Election Loss?"

I also forgot to mention that Lisa is considered an oracle across party lines for literally calling out the many reasons why Sarah Palin was the absolute wrong choice for the VP position during a Presidential bid.

It's pretty fascinating to be so conscious of the socio-political changes taking place in front of us.

Someone reminded them that they didn't lose their right to vote. You can try to take marriage away but you can't take voting away. That's why I hate people who say voting is useless then complain the government doesn't listen.

I terms of politics they only need to sway people who vote.

Murkowski has always been a moderate on social issues. This is not a surprise.

We are winning the culture war while losing the social war.
