Is anybody else kind of really (rilly) surprised that there are so few Lizzie Borden related media things? Wikipedia lists about 5 different things (Including an Opera! Who knew?) Jack the Ripper's page doesn't even list them- only noting he is in "hundreds of works of fiction" And more than a hundred different non fiction works. I know that there is still mystery and what all swirling around Jack, but Lizzie has a whole femme fatale, did she- didn't she, trial of the (19th) century thing. Seems pretty ripe for a bigger media presence to me.

Does it list Warehouse 13? There was an episode with her mirror.

It did not. Two movies, an opera a play and an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. So maybe she has more of a cameo presence(I seem to remember her on a Simpsons episode?) It just seems like there would be a lot more centering on her. It's such an interesting story- and she has her own nursery rhyme!

Miley kind of epitomizes trying WAY too hard, but it's kind of hard to hate her even so. That said, she's like oceans away from actually twerking. I might just have to unfollow Wiz and Amber on Instagram for their role in that fuckery.

And lol at The Game making sure Beibs can't get into the club.

So can you help an old out with a link to a real twerking video? I have no idea what it's supposed to look like, and I'm afraid if I google, I won't be able to tell the difference between a real and wannabe twerk. Help!

This is in response to Leo's modelising. I finally saw Great Gatsby the other day. It's been out awhile, so the theatre wasn't that full or anything. When Leo first appeared, there was an audible gasp, followed by the collective realisation that we all gasped, which spurred a giggle. So basically churning through models in the south of France and all that - I get it. I totally get it.

Ha! This reminds me of seeing him as Romeo. You know his first shot in the movie and the camera scrolls slowly up, he's all sun drenched, smoking and pretty? There was the exact same intake of breath in the room and every girl there became a woman in that moment.

I really liked him in that movie — the scene that took my breath away was actually the one at the costume party where he first sees Claire as Juliet. Both of them were so beautiful in that movie!

I can't decide whether to be proud of Miley for saying f#$k what people think and expect and want of her and just doing her own thing...or second-hand embarrassed by watching Hannah Montana twerk on stage.

On another note: Christina Ricci as Lizzie Borden? OH FUCK YES. She's the right amount of creepy and interesting to play the epic Ms. Borden.

Also, when does Beyonce NOT look "cute as fuq". Answer: never. The answer is never.

So sick of this "commending white people for appropriating things that People of Color are derided for" bullshit.

Warner Bros., I'll see your Leo DiCaprio and raise you a Nic Cage for that Rasputin biopic. How is this not obvious? Jeeezus, do I have to make all the right decisions for you? Let's face it, 1.) it'll be a miracle if this film ever actually gets made; 2.) Cage's "pay or plays" have got to be way cheaper than DiC's; 3.) Cage's (patent pending) crazy eyes. No one. No. One. In Hollywood does it better. Not even Leo.

I can actually see where you're coming from with the Nicolas Cage suggestion for the Rasputin part. Crazy eyes would be essential to play the role, as far as I'm concerned. This pic is Rasputin from the 1970's film *Nicholas & Alexandra*.

P.S. As an aside, the actor, Tom Baker, was one of the earlier Doctor Who's.

Also, Nic Cage may be centuries old, which totally fits with the Rasputin was a touch mofo to put down.

I knew I was really getting older when I saw twerking and thought unkind things about how uncomfortable and stupid it looked.

Then, I realized I was now the old person in the room. Ah well.

That's EXACTLY what I went through. I thought it was the dumbest dance trend ever (and it might still be), but then remembered how much fun moshing was - and how stupid it probably looked.

Ugh, Miley is giving me major Justin Bieber vibes right now. She just seems like she is trying way too hard to be whatever the heck it is that she is trying to be. And that aint a twerk but that poor thing can't help it.

Also funny that the Beebs can't even get in da club because OMG underage, while Miley's been dancing across the stage for YEARS like no one knows exactly how old she is. The nightlife scene lets ridiculously, like insanely young girls beyond the velvet rope, but I guess the adolescent boys just can't get no love.
