Thanks to that one little comment she was quoted as saying, hold yer breath for the stupids to bring up how the person that "let her go in front of her" at the store missed out on their shot at half a billion if only they hadn't have let her in front of them.

Wronnngnnggnngg, lottery terminals' random number generators have everything to do with the precise nanosecond the clerk hits the button. During the mere time it took for someone to say "Go ahead, sweetie, I'll just wait", about four million potential number combinations flashed by it's little eyes. If the clerk stops to scratch his ass before hitting the button, you get a completely different set of numbers than if he had not scratched his ass. But pointing that out takes away from the intrigue and fun of the "could've been" story, so, expect it!

If she's single I may file for divorce from my wife. Course I would re-marry her after this huge lottery winner dies in a year or so. How does the State Lottery Commission get so lucky to have such an aged winner?? Her money stops when she dies right? Yes. But she can sure give it away to her lucky family in the meantime.

        So not worth it.

You'd have to move to Fla.

in which she wrote that she bought her winning ticket after "another lottery ticket buyer was very kind enough to let me go ahead of her on the supermarket line."

Why would anyone make it a point to say this...?

Her next of kin has offered her a spacious room in his house, featuring a dank basement, set on a wooded lot.

That fella beside her is spending the winnings early, and has invested in a spun gold wig.

I have read before that if you set up a blind trust you can avoid your name being released publically, the trustee claims the prize.

In some states, yes, you can claim a lottery prize anonymously or through a trust. Other states mandate that lottery winners' names are public record. Where I live, you can claim through a trust, and you better believe that if I ever win the lottery, I will use that option. Nothing good comes from the whole damn world knowing that you came into a boatload of cash.

I saw a guy on the news, he had won $1 million, years ago, he still gets flooded with letters in his mailbox from strangers asking him for money.

"Another lottery ticket buyer was very kind enough to let me go ahead of her on the supermarket line."

            Three phrases come to mind:

            1)No good deed goes unpunished.

            2)She's HOW OLD?

            3)Where is your god now?

              Hers was a quick pick.

Most lottery tickets, as well as most winning lottery ticked, ARE quick picks.

This is because people tend to pick lower numbers than random. They pick numbers with meaning (birth of first child, wedding date, etc, which are all under 31.

That doesn't mean the woman who let her cut would've gotten the same numbers as she did!

And yet, all her grandkids will still receive the same birthday card with a crummy $5 bill inside. Oh, grandmas.
