As punk ages it seems to be turning into some kind of smoked jerky.

Jello Biafra stated in an interview recently that punk was never a movement. "A movement is political, and has its eyes on a political prize. Martin Luther King had his eyes on a prize. People with their eyes on all the mining and fracking, even in Australia, there's a very specific political goal that makes anti-fracking, a pro-planet type movement.

"What's the prize with the punk movement? More punk? No, that's culture."

Whoever Jello Baifra is has made the assumption that all "movements" are political. Since when has this been the case?

Not that I didn't love Jello, but come on. Carrot in front of donkey. People react. There was a "movement." Well, rather a jolt. Stupid kids just made cracks in your ceiling. Fix them.

I love how anytime someone looks different people just assume it's plastic surgery without any proof. Pulling things out of your ass isn't proof

    Blake Lively
    Gisele
    Carey Mulligan
    Miranda Kerr

    Ginnifer Goodwin
    Kim and Kanye
    Elle Fanning
    Madonna

Every. Single. Time. I see Gwyneth Paltrow do any thing, I can't help but get the feeling that she is always trying to be the "cool" person, but is either trying way too hard, or just lagging behind.

It's a weird-but-uplifting thought to consider that, despite being cursed with shit-stained-godawful-genes, someone as beautiful as Ivanka can exist.

I agree, though plastic surgery may be seen by some as fake or unnatural, I find it weird-but-uplifting to think of how far medical science has come in just the past few decades.

In all fairness, his dad wasn't exactly a high level diplomat. He was a worker in the diplomatic corps. They were solidly middle class. As was Topper.

I know, I was just teasing. ;) Strummer did mention that his expensive boarding school was all paid for by the government, though, which must be nice... if you like boarding school. ;P He probably would have preferred to have his mom, dad and brother around and close, than have the advantages of a private boarding school education, though. He probably hated boarding school and the trappings of the capitalist system which effectively broke up his family, and maybe contributed to his brother's suicide.
