I feel like I somehow missed out in my childhood and teenage years! My brothers, my friends, and I never did stuff like this.

I'm not saying that we're any smarter — or kids today are any stupider — but it seems like more people are doing stupider things. The higher rate of incidents has to be the result of social media. Without the incentive of being shared online and participating in something that has become somewhat popular, I don't think that this would be occurring with such frequency.

Of course, it might just seem more common because the news is capable of being shared more easily. Who knows!

I can't decide if this is better or worse than the crap my friends and I used to do? There was a lot of coating hands in hairspray and lighting them on fire, putting fireworks in closed dumpsters, and glue sniffing going on in my middle school years.

We lit things on fire, but always in a controlled manner. I cannot imagine one of us intentionally lighting ourselves on fire.

I read your comment and think that I missed out on so many more things. I also think that this may not be an entirely bad thing!

Anybody see the Mythbusters ep where they did this? Tory is a bad ass. I think they touched on what could happen if you inhaled it too...

Everybody who's bagging on 'these fucking stupid kids these days' while also mentioning the fuck-tard idiocy of their own pasts are bring hypocritical dicks. It's fucking cinnamon. I've never done the cinnamon game, but I've done a fuck-ton of other stupid shit, as all you people criticizing these crazy kids these days apparently have, as well. I'll tell you what, I got my own set of baggage about kids today, but who in the living fuck could have dreamed the goddamn cinnamon game would cause fucking emphysema? You guys called that one, did ya? And how terrifying and depressing for those who did do this on a dare that it could cause permanent lung damage. If you haven't done the cinnamon game but have done a million other stupid fucking things, why don't you try a little empathy crossed with a healthy dose of 'ask not for whom the bell tolls". You think the kids who did this are more deserving of permanent debilitation than someone inhales a nitrous balloon or glue or whatever else? Fuck that.

Uh...inhaling cinnamon into one's lungs? Yeah, I pretty much called that the first time I heard about the stupid "challenge."

People are not intentionally inhaling it, they're trying to swallow it.

Finally, a good reason not to eat a giant spoonful of cinnamon.
