Eh, I think Rob's present is actually quite cool. If he bought her a $30,000 dollar necklace for her birthday, I doubt anyone would be reporting it, but she doesn't strike me as the type who'd be interested in jewellery. Besides, it's white gold - at least it's worth something. It's not like he spent 30 grand on a designer-label Biro.

But then, I'm a girl who uses an inkwell and makes and uses her own quill pens. I appreciate anyone with an appreciation for a good fountain pen.

I agree. Collecting pens is a worthy hobby and if you have the money for a $30,000 pen, go for it! How is it any less acceptable than a $500,000 sports car? I'd rather have the pen even if I put it in a curio case just to stare at it. I would probably use it at least once, just to see how it writes though.

Pens bring me great joy. No pen, however, could bring me $30K of joy. I cannot imagine any level of craft that would render a pen worth $30K. Even though it's made of white gold, even a heavy (say 4 ounce) pen would cost $6,246 for the materials. That means that the craftsmanship was almost $25K. That is absolutely crazy.

Even with a "fuller figure," Mischa Barton has always been small. I worked on a movie she was in a few years ago, and was caught off guard by how tiny she was. In person, so many celebrities just look like miniature versions of human beings. (Side note: Ryan Kwanten was also in that movie, but this was before True Blood so I didn't really know who he was at the time. He was super nice though, and I hope he still is. Also, he was normal-sized).

The movie-star tininess thing is something I notice most on Saturday Night Live. Anna Faris hosted once, and Abby Elliot, of all people, looked like a goddamn linebacker next to her.

Haha oh yeah, this. Which was made even more jarring by the fact that Elliot was playing Faris.

Really, really sad about the Rachel Zoe show. I just loved she and her husband, so much. "Is that MAJ?" "I think that is EVERYTHING." ...after just leaving some fashion show, "I can't even talk about it right now." "I know..." "I think I literally might throw up, I can't even talk about it yet, like I need some time."

Yeah, I hope it's not true. I really liked the show, and she's actually a million times more likeable this season than previously. I think having that adorable baby has really relaxed her. And I like seeing all the behind-the-scenes fashion stuff. Yeah, not much drama as before, but who cares?

I have a maj soft spot for her. If I'm really really honest, I have to say this isn't a great season. But I still like to watch it. And Sky-Sky - I DIE.

"The six-year-old twin daughters of Diddy and Kim Porter went to school "covered in white powder" that's ostensibly cocaine... This has happened more than once."

    Ok, first of all... whaaaaa???

Secondly... wow, cocaine has been an exceptionally popular topic of conversation around here lately. Go cocaine, you so popular.

My birthday is tomorrow (it will eventually be a National, nay, WORLD holiday, so take note) and I can say with complete confidence that I did NOT ask for a LeAnn Rimes ANYTHING, much less a crappy show about her marriage. Just so you know.

A $30K pen wouldn't go amiss, however. I could barter it for nearly 18 months of mortgage payments OR pay off my student loans in one fell swoop!

Even better: it was actually £30,000, which is like $46,000.

Is Heidi Klum's barely perceptible accent really the problem? Or could it be that her critiques are just bad? She's not a horrible judge on Project Runway (though I think her taste in clothes is awful especially judging her wardrobe choices), but she also has a rapport with the other judges that—to borrow from Tim Gunn—makes it work. If she doesn't have that with the other judges on this new show, she's probably painfully boring or says confusingly stupid things.

So, the item about Diddy's ex-girlfriend/mother to 2 of his children...I don't know who I'm more disgusted with: Kim Porter, if that stuff's true, or the former nanny, for not reporting to the police/CPT that the kids were "covered" in cocaine more than once!

There's so much about this that makes no sense! Why didn't the nanny brush them off before sending them along? How doused in it must they have been for the school to investigate and decide it was cocaine? The principal rubbed a little on his gums, made a positive ID, and immediately called TMZ?

OK, I don't even know if it's true or not, but Porter should be tossed in the pokey (as opposed to DOING the hokey-pokey, although I suppose there's always the chance of that...) for just having things like that inferred about her. I know this is wrong-headed, etc., etc., but any parent who puts their kids in a situation where they could roll around in ANY substance that's powder-y, I don't care what color it is, needs to be slapped. And stopped.

Yep. Although I didn't think people used that on their kids any more because of the damage it potentially causes to tiny lungs. What I'd wonder about more, now that I think of it, would be why someone would be using baby powder on a six-year-old. Again, and obviously way, way too late: It was just my old-fashioned knee-jerk reaction to something that I perceived as damn weird. I believe The New Format has somehow made it not OK for me to have knee-jerk reactions. Probably one of the top 1 or 2 benefits of The New Format.

That Diddy stpry is the saddest thing. I hope they get removed from the home.

And was I the only one that thought that computer-duster episode of "Intervention" was the best one ever?
