    As an outside observer, it seems to me that Heather Dietrick has been a liability (no pun intended) for the company. From her role in the Conde Nast flip-flop to her terrible stewardship of the legal situation, I don’t think Nick Denton, the company or the employees have been well served by her outsize influence.

    Excluding Gawker.com from the acquisition, or deciding to end its editorial operations, would not necessarily entail layoffs, as Univision executives have committed to finding positions for current Gawker.com staffers elsewhere within Univision, including among the other six sites.

    Hey,I don’t mind being in the greys forever, but the article states univision will keep up to 95% of gawker staff.

    The writing seemed to imply they were keeping 100%.

    1/20 people will lose their job and although I don’t appreciate the efforts of many gawker writers, that is unfortunate.

    Then to ensure I stay in the greys,
