    Syphilitic Scalia SaysBrendan O'Connor

applicants would be vetted to see whether they support American values like tolerance and pluralism.

If Trump supporters had to take this test, they’d fail. So when do their deportations begin?

For a long time, I thought so too.

Bigger counterpoint: He’s destroying the reputation of not just himself, but his entire family, by doing this. The Trump name will be worth less than dog shit when the dust settles.

Only if they use air quotes to define their sarcasm. Sarcasm doesn't translate well from other languages, so you usually need some sort of hint.

Actually, perhaps this is the one idea of Trump’s that I kind of like. No one should come here if they don’t at least agree to respect the fundamentals values of a liberal democracy. This wouldn’t be that different from asking them to obey certain basic laws.

If someone believes that gay people should be shot or that women shouldn’t drive, for example, that would preclude them from coming here.

“determine their positions on social issues like religious freedom, gender equality and gay rights.”

So, we’re going to hold immigrants to a higher standard than we do the Religious Right, or will “Muslim” be the only real disqualifier?

If the test can be used to deport American citizens who hold such beliefs, perhaps to the Sea Steddings they’re keen on, I’m all for it.

By “Sea Steddings” I mean “that big garbage island in the middle of the Pacific.”

They should all be deported to the London fatberg! (Not really...)

We’re supposed to have Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion and the Right to Pursue Happiness here which sometimes means holding your nose and allowing people to have their own horrible opinions rather than jailing, deporting or not admitting them so long as their opinions don’t become illegal actions.

Only if he takes a personality test, first.

Oh, and then he can take his own ideological test, since he seems to have some views incompatible with our constitution.

To his supporters, the Constitution is a living document requires re-interpretation as the country (and world) changes...unless they decide it isn’t.

Actually, that’s the a much more leftist view. His supporters believe that the Constitution should be “strictly” read...until it doesn’t need to be...because shut up that’s why.

Incredible, just when you think that he has hit bottom... he finds a new bottom. This guy and his cohorts and supporters are like an idiotic un-american money pit. Just when you think you’ve found the dry-rot and cracked foundation, you discover termites, then a sinkhole, oh and a gas leak.

There are no ideological tests in any other part of our constitution, or our bill of rights. It’s like these folks were born in Russia and decided that America’s values of freedom and democracy were just slogans on a cereal box.

That’s what he was saying about Gitmo tribunal trials. That citizens are suspected terrorists should be taken there. Which, like you’re suggesting, literally means anybody.

I’m just waiting for him to propose citizenship loyalty oaths.

“Sir Do you harbor any agenda of a foreign nation?” The border agent asked bluntly.

“Um... hmm... yes, I mean no!”, Manafort insisted.

“Ok... have you taken money from any foreign power to foment chaos and disrupt democracy?” The agent probed, raising an eyebrow.

“Well, I mean... maybe?”, Manafort fumbles, as Russian rubles fall out of his pockets.

“Sir...what’s this?” The agent asked, picking up on of the bills.

      “Would you believe...Monopoly money?”
