    supposedly the foot traffic is way down all across the trump empire. you’d think if he’s going to listen to anyone it’s the cfo of trumpland...

    donnie deutsch (ugh) has made the point that trump properties appeal to the extremely wealthy — who aren’t inclined to support him politically; while his supporters are overwhelmingly not in the market for one of his glitzy apartments. and his campaign is alienating those richie rich folks who will look elsewhere for their over-priced homes... the longterm damage he’s doing to the brand could put quite the dent in the trump trust fund..

      That’s an interesting point. Trump’s presidential campaign seems to be damaging his brand; I remember a story from early in his campaign when a famous chef backed out of a deal with him over his anti Mexican comments. I'm wondering why he would want this to happen since that, win or lose, he will have to go back to his Trump branded businesses eventually.

      Jose Andres and Jeffery Zakarian, I think. He’s Spanish, and Jeff is American, but both said they would be employing Mexicans. They weren’t comfortable with Trump’s bullshit.

      It took me a stupidly long time to get around to reading Pratchett, especially since his philosophical counterpart, Douglas Adams, is my favorite author of all time. I just finished Small Gods two weeks ago and absolutely loved it, if you have any recommendation for what to read next, I’d be very grateful.
