    I think the best way to ensure more favorable media coverage is to browbeat and insult journalists at every opportunity. (Many reporters are masochistic and this kind of rhetoric really “turns their crank”).

    Bonus points if you make barely veiled threats against the concept of freedom of the press while you’re at it. As a rule, journalists HATE the first amendment and would like to be sued, harassed, or prosecuted for their writing.

      The thing about Trump that really surprised me, having largely ignored him for most of his life until he decided to become a discount Mussolini, is how profoundly ignorant he is.

      I am not saying he has no skills, but, as a well-rounded individual who has a basic working knowledge of many facets of the universe he inhabits, he is pathologically uniformed.

      Bigots tend to believe that 1A protects their right to make offensive statements, but NOT the right of others to criticize those statements.

      They also believe that it creates an affirmative duty of others — such as website owners and journalists — to create a space for their views.

    Trump must be in much worse shape than I’d thought. This kind of gossipy, finger-pointing article usually doesn’t appear until after the candidate has lost.

    Back in June, Politico published a similar article about the end days of the Sanders campaign in which unnamed sources put the blame for the failing campaign squarely on the candidate...just like the unnamed sources in the NYT article are doing with Trump. Staffers want to be able to get hired again and throwing their former boss under the bus is one way of distancing themselves from failure.
