Will your stomach stretch if you drink a ton of seltzer? Someone please confirm fact or fiction, thanks.

As a scientist, I can assure you that this can only happen if you fail to remove the anal plug.

For some reason, over the course of time, my wife and I became seltzer addicts. Not even sure when it happened. Just that when we met, seltzer was not s part of our lives and that now, years later, it's a staple good in our household. There are two things we will immediately replace if we run out, instead of just waiting for the weekly grocery trip. Diapers and seltzer.

The diapers eventually fall off the shopping list. Many years later, they return.

I used to drink a ton of seltzer — it felt like a treat without all the sugar and additives in soda.

Then I moved to my current apartment, which has water that’s absolutely delicious. I’ve never thought of water as delicious before, but the stuff that comes out of my tap has a great flavor, and I love it. So I stopped buying seltzer and just drank tap water (it’s counterintuitive, but it weirdly feels crazy luxurious to be able to just drink water straight out of the faucet without having to filter it) all the time.

This weekend I am moving to a new apartment with typical crappy tasting water, though, so I’ll be going back to flat filtered water and, I assume, buying seltzer by the case again.

Plain seltzer can promote tooth decay?

Counter counter point: The media is biased FOR seltzer.

I started with plain seltzer in place of a beer here and there. Then my wife came home with La Croix. Great stuff. I confessed my obsession to a friend who works on Wall St and he admitted his bank replaced all soda with LaCroix. Shit is good, no calories.

I never drank sparkling water till I got pregnant, now I’m all about my virgin gin and tonics and grapefruit perrier. The bubbles make me feel like I get a fancy drink too! (Fuck I miss beers).

Beer gives me inflammation so I switched to drinking Seltzer most nights. It makes me feel like I am having something besides plain water. I miss beer but so many carbs and my joints no longer ache so yay?

I can’t abide flavored fizzy water. I’ve tried everything from the classic Perrier Limon to those goddamn blasphemous flavors LaCroix makes. It’s all revolting. But classic, water-flavored fizzy water is wonderful.

My current water of choice is Jarrito’s Mineragua which is delicious and can be procured insanely inexpensively compared to more famous brands.

Schweppes Black Cherry sparkling seltzer water must be the best because it’s “Naturally flavored with other natural flavors”
