      This is openly appealing to supporters that they should perhaps use their guns to “do something” about this “problem.”

      More than 80% of his supporters just got huge rage boners. This is exactly why most of them are voting Trump. Because they hate Clinton. And since they all harbor secret fantasies of overthrowing the government, double win.

      This won’t erode his support anymore than all the other crazy shit he’s said. At this point, let’s just be glad that there’s no way he’s swaying any swing voters.

    It’s probably a long-term bet, but question for everyone: what do you think are the odds that Trump will die by suicide? His kids killing him and convincingly making it look like suicide does count, so keep that in mind. Hey, my question, I get to set the rules. If, say, Eric just flat-out murders him in front of witnesses, that will not count.

    What are the odds that Trump either kills himself or is killed by one or more of his kids and it is made to look like suicide?

    It’s the same principal, no matter what he says or does, no matter what insane utterance issues forth from this jerk, the people who support him which is about 37%-40% of the country will vote for him. another 5-7% think he’s the same as Hillary. Nothing he does will change that.

    Literally. If he tells an angry mob to attack an 9 year old girl scout selling cookies they’d do it, then come up with some false equivalence of “Hillary is the same!”

    It’s garbage, but it’s all they have. The guy in the suit on the stage is telling them, so it can’t be wrong. Now... continue please.

      Agreed, but the timeline goes further back than last year when Trump announced his candidacy. Republican officials have been issuing coy-but-deniable invitations to their unhinged base to gun down liberals for years. Has everyone forgotten this shit already?

      Indeed, the same day Palin posted the image with the scopes over congressional districts on her Facebook page, she tweeted, “Don’t retreat, Instead - RELOAD” and asked her followers to check out her Facebook page for details.

      My point is that Trump isn’t uniquely bad here and he is not sui generis, but a product of mainstream conservative politics. What he said today is not a shocking aberration from Republican orthodoxy, but a clumsier version of it.
