    2nd place = higher place in the world record books + more money = always better than 3rd.

    Not to mention that bronze ages nicely into a beautiful jade patina. Gold also has a nice patina, but not as nice as bronze. Silver ages like shit and is why people must constantly polish their silverware and jewelry. People pay a lot of money for aged bronze, so that just goes to show you the intrinsic value is a lot higher than silver. Unless a Canadian wins it, then it’s just shit.
