    He’s had body-image issues for a long time. Note how often he uses “fat” or weight-related phrasing as a pejorative. Also consider which competing candidate he treated the worst: the heaviest one. Projection, thy name is Trump.

    Even in those recent golf-shirt pics, you can tell he’s barrel-shaped and on the thick side. It’s likely been getting worse—at 70 there’s no way it’s easy to keep the extra off—and a well-tailored jacket can definitely conceal a lot of issues.

    Just add it to the ever-lengthening list of his psychological and emotional problems.

      Yeah, he probably realizes the suits are more flattering and that’s why he always wears them. They give him shoulders and make him look less like a bunch of uncooked potatoes in a white cotton sack.

      He might also think formal business attire fits better with his ‘brand’ than casualwear.
