Pissing off Pennsylvania. Yeah THAT’s a smart move for someone trying to win an election.

Which we all know, he isn’t.

Nah, his voters in PA don’t care, because they blame black people for why Harrisburg is such a terrible place (which it is, with one of the highest murder rates in the nation; the areas around are safe but boring af and unattractive).

Don’t forget, he’s also feuding with the Governor of Ohio, another state that doesn’t matter.

If he was going to start a feud with a city in that state, why couldn’t it be Intercourse, Pennsylvania?

Don’t forget new mortal enemies and defectors Sally Bradshaw (Jeb adviser), Maria Comella (Chris Christie aid) and Richard Hanna (first member of Congress to do so)! Three lifelong Republicans who have all come out recently to say that they were voting for Clinton and/or leaving the GOP because of Trump. I’m sure we’ll be seeing many tweets about how sad! these losers! are from Trumpster soon, but hopefully with these political figures speaking out and Obama applying pressure, the tides will continue to turn. From Comella:

Instead of speaking out against instances of bigotry, racism and inflammatory rhetoric whether it’s been against women, immigrants or Muslims, we made a calculus that it was better to say nothing at all in the interest of politics and winning elections. For me, if our party has a future, we have to change that trajectory and lead by example,” she said.

Wow. He takes no shit and tells it like it is! If only Harrisburg, the baby, dead war heroes or Paul Ryan were his opponent, Trump would be one helluva candidate.

I was trying to write a joke that’s like “Next thing you know Trump will be feuding with...” And I can’t think of anything worse to feud with if you want to be president than babies and gold star families.

I think his whole campaign strategy is based loosely on the way that fourteen year old boys are mean as hell to the girl they have a crush on, in hopes that it will somehow make them attractive.

I never had much of an opinion one way or the other of Pennsylvania, and I never saw Harrisburg, but I still have to say, Smooth Move, Ex Lax.

What a fucking douche he is.

I moved to PA last year, and lived in NJ near the PA border for decades before that. I have never once heard anyone from PA dis Harrisburg. They mostly don’t think about it at all. And I imagine anyone outside PA forgot that Harrisburg was PA’s capital back in 5th grade and assume it is Philly, or maybe Pittsburgh, and are puzzled by why Trump is attacking a random PA city (unless they are plugged into the alt-right white supremacist forums, apparently, judging from the comments here some talking points went out).

It seems, to me as a don’t-know-shit-about-the-Easter, like it’s the equivalent of taking shit about Wichita, or Lincoln. Easy, but not necessary.

I’ve spent 8 years living in the susquehanna Valley. Harrisburg is much like York and Lancaster. Pretty in some places and run down in others. Like any other post industrial PA small city. I will say that area around the Capitol is nice. The greyhound station, not so much.

Are there any towns where the Greyhound station is in the nice part? Even if you tried, it wouldn’t be the nice part anymore once the Greyhound station gets built.

Either he’s doing this on purpose to lose badly or he really doesn’t understand electoral math.

I think many of the people around Harrisburg agree with him. The city is the city, but the neighboring counties hate the capitol with a passion and think it’s totally fucked and dangerous (and they are kinda right)

Except most of the voters in PA live in and around Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, and have no beef with the physical city of Harrisburg. All they hear is Trump saying nasty things about their state capital for no reason. This only resonates with people who were already going to vote for him and can hear the dogwhistle.
