Trump and the President boxed in the GOP leadership today. It's amazing to watch a major political party come unraveled in real time. Whatcha gonna do now, Ryan?

I knew Trump wasn't going to pivot and become a good candidate, but Jesus Jumped Up Christ, he's actually getting worse. How is that possible?

Okay, Paul. Now it’s time to emulate all those rugged individualist objectivist heroes from your Ayn Rand books that you love so much and hope all the P90X hasn’t totally destroyed your balls so you can finally stand up to this piece of human excrement and tell him that nobody treats Paul Ryan like that and gets away with it.

Of course, you’re going to just keep licking Il Duce Arancia’s boots, but I’d also accept you going Galt until the election is over.

McCain didn’t do anything for vets....

I just don’t understand how anyone can listen to this bullshit and say, “Yeah, that sounds right” You can’t blast McCain for being a vet. He’s a Vietnam POW vet. You can blast McCain for a LOT of things, but that is literally the only place that man is untouchable.

When the VFW starts righting letters and you’re courting vets, you should pay attention. The only thing to do in a V is drink beer and talk shit.

    http://usuncut.com/politics/vfw-v…

If Trump actually won (sacrifices a rabbit to appease the gods who listen too closely for something they can inflict on mortals that “sounds fun”) the battles in Congress would be STUPENDOUS!!!

I wonder if he realizes that Congress is the one who files articles of impeachment? Probably not.

“You get the Congress, you get the Senate. You get together. You do legislation.” - Donald Trump 1/14/16

He doesn’t even understand how our government functions at it’s most basic levels. I assume he’ll be watching “I’m just a bill” on his first day in office to brush up.

When asked how he would pay for infrastructure improvement & tax cuts he stated

“We’ll get a fund. We’ll make a phenomenal deal with a low interest rate and we’re gonna have to rebuild our infrastructure”

He literally doesn’t understand what Treasury Bill are. Or that we’re already borrowing at, essentially, zero interest and have been for a while.

All the Democrats need to do to defeat Ryan is to simply air a clip of the moment when he used the wrong end of a gavel to close a night at the RNC.

Honestly, Ryan has been so ineffectual and spineless as majority leader, I actually kind of prefer him in that role. At least with him at the helm, the GOP haven’t been nearly as unified.

Better the devil you know, right?

That because he didn’t want the job to begin with (this was pre-Trump times, back when the GOP was a mess of infighting on it’s own), knowing that you can’t coordinate this group... and then Fuhrer Trump came along and made a seemingly impossible goal (unification) into a never-gonna-happen-in-this-lifetime goal. Honestly, I’m surprised he even bothers to get out of bed in the morning.

Boehner might be in danger of patting himself on the back so hard he breaks a rib, at this point. In all honesty, though, I bet he and Ted Cruz are drinking beers and watching this shitshow go down, giggling like mad. I wouldn’t spit on either of them if they were on fire, but damn if it isn’t going to pay off for them down the road.

He’s going to quit. He’s already setting it up that it’s rigged. That the media and polls are against him. That somehow the things he says on video are being misinterpreted as they are played back in full to the public.

This man hates losers. He will not lose. He will quit before november or he will incite riots and sue and claim there was cheating involved when he gets trounced.

Trump and Obama painted the GOP into such a tiny corner today that it almost seems coordinated. What an afternoon.

and in what has become typical — chris crisco has provided a weak critique of trump’s smears against the khan family:

“We need to honor their sacrifice for our country and we need to honor their son’s sacrifice for our country,” Christie said. “And to focus on anything other than that, to me, is missing the point. That’s what we should be doing, and any comments that we’re making publicly or privately should be with that in mind. My view on this is that the Khans have a right to say whatever it is they want regarding the loss of their son and that for all the Gold Star families out there, they have put forward a sacrifice that I cannot fathom as a parent.”
