If the Republicans had any desire to save this election (which I don't think they do anymore) they would have someone whose sole job is to tackle Trump every time he tries to speak to someone with a camera or microphone.

And Hillary would hire someone to tackle the person meant to tackle Trump.

Yeah, that’s a good question. It was my understanding that his rallies have begun to be sparsely attended.

First Trump came for the fire marshalls and I did not speak out because I am not a fire marshall.

I think it’s a visionary move for Trump to tap into the huge “I hate those people that put themselves at risk to put out fires” demographic.

Right? I mean, firefighters and Soldiers rank in the top of "People Americans Trust Most" pretty regularly, but that hasn't stopped Donald from going after them.

What must be going through that poor secret service agent’s mind?

“Do I really have to throw my body in front of the bullet if someone tries to shoot this dick, or is that only for the President and his family? What does the handbook say? I used to think this was a pretty good job, but now I’m mostly embarrassed all the time. I hope people don’t think I’m hanging out with this guy because I like him so much... I did 15-years in the Navy for this?”

Every agent guarding him WOULD take a bullet and lay down his/her life to save Drumpf’s orange balloon life. THAT is who they are (honor and duty bound and loyal and true) and that is what they are trained/sworn to do.

Still, said agent(s) are probably dreaming of November 8 and the vote(s) they will cast against him!

Hold on a sec. Trump has a habit of exaggerating the size of the crowds at his rallies. And he is very fond of comparing his crowds and his ratings to the Democrats (even if it means accusing the media of dishonesty when the Dems have him beat). I think that he is abusing the fire-marshall so that we take it for granted that 5,000 more people were waiting to get into his event.

His bad manners toward the public servants who keep his constituents safe and his venues in good repair is so glaring that it is all too easy for basic facts about the crowd to get lost. I think he’s using outrageous bad manners to distract from a very basic lie about the popularity of his events.

I am willing to believe that Trump has drawn crowds of 5,000 and more in the past. No fucking way did it happen today.

I totally can see this becoming a daily thing where he BOOKS small rooms and then claims so many thousands were denied. Blames Fire Marshall, rinse and repeat. It doesn’t matter what reality is, he is honestly this stupid that he thinks he can create reality but just saying shit.

This particular ploy seems to be working if you look at the way these comments are covered. Many journalists, bloggers, and tweeters are so primed to report the astonishing rudeness that the mundane facts get lost. Hardly matters if it’s guile or luck behind it.

But there is no way that Trump’s people didn’t know the occupancy of that room at least a week ago. Maybe they try to steamroll the venues and then insult the ones who don’t play along.

If that marshal hates Trump as much as Trump claims, he would have allowed those idiots to overfill the room.

As someone that works in the building industry, he’s a typical developer. He isn’t a builder, that line is bullshit. All he is, is the money behind the project, clueless to the actual intricacies of building code, construction, or design. He is the political donor of the building world, he just knows how to throw money at people.

Looking at the favorability ratings for Trump, there’s a good chance the fire marshal was doing his job AND he doesn’t like Trump.
