the ideology of the inevitability of the death of every individual

I didn’t know life and death were ideologies.

Why the fuck do people want to extend lifespans so badly anyway? It’s happening naturally through advances in medicine and technology, and the Earth is already overpopulated as it is. I don’t really want to live to 100 (Spoiler alert: I don’t think I will).

I want to live forever and I’m perenially depressed. It just seems better than being dead. No more orgasms, booze, fart jokes, etc. But Thiel is a fool, everyone knows the key to a long life and increased vitality is chugging gallon after gallon of horse semen. Thoroughbred only. Someone phone him immediately and inform him of this.

What’s the old quote about how capital is dead labor which lives, vampire-like, only through draining vitality from the living?

Nice to have the metaphor made real.

OH for fucks sake is gawker media still on this get theil jihad?

Heres some news and information that you didn’t see posted on gawker. Last week the judge in the hogan lawsuit ruled Denton had lied to the court about his net worth and assets and ruled hogan can immediately start SEIZING DENTONS ASSETS.

      IMMEDIATELY.

Didn’t see that posted anywhere...wonder why. All of GMs blogger employees may be working for hogan by the end of the week.

Yes! Considering how much $$ he has and how unwilling he is to shuffle off this mortal coil, we could end with care pretty darn fast for one of those nasty blood-borne diseases. Chikugunya, anyone?

This sounds like a good premise for a sequel to the chronically underappreciated In Time.

I liked the premise, and the beginning was much, much stronger than the ending. Before watching it, and in the beginning it had a very Asimov/Orwell feel to it.

Then it sort of went a bit too teenage action drama-ey towards the end. It definitely helped that the premise made it easy for them to make the whole thing a parade of beautiful people.

Cillian Murphey as the cynical, grizzled old cop? Oh and Wilde was Justin Timberlake’s MOM? So confusing/awesome.

Has anyone checked for a volcano lair in Pacifica? It’s close to his offices, and there’s volcanic activity right nearby. It could also explain why there hasn’t been a really big earthquake in the Valley for a while....
