    I wonder what lies Manafort gave Pence to get him to take this job. “He’s just playing it up for the cameras, he’s a lot easier to work with personally,” or “That outlandish stuff is just his primary strategy; he’s going to pivot to the center for the general campaign,”

    I think he’s probably realizing that his full time job might be to deal with problems that Trump has created for his campaign, and he just isn’t ready for that. That phony-looking haircut (completely staged IMO) is probably going to last about 100 days.
