It’s amazing how the Democratic Party has flipped the script and is asserting itself as the party of patriotism and the founding ideals of this country.

But unlike Republicans, Democrats are using those things in an inclusive way. Community has been THE theme of this convention and I was impressed at how smoothly HRC wove that theme into her vision for America and her attacks on Trump. Even the final prayer had this theme.

Republicans on Twitter are watching this Democratic convention and hating life.

I’ve been a Democrat for 28 years, and an Unaffiliated since I moved to an open Primary state. I’ve always been patriotic, and I think that most people support our country and our troops. It’s only the R’s that said that we didn’t, and frankly I found it disgusting. I remember calling a lady out on it at a fundraiser when she said, “Democrats don’t support our troops! They don’t love our country!” She backed down, too. She probably thought I was going to pull a knife out and slash her or something, the dumb broad.

Clinton should win this election by 30 points. But thanks to everybody’s crazy uncles, this shit is gonna be close as hell.

It’s going to be closer than it should be, but it’s not going to be “close as hell,” especially not in the Electoral College.

I’m hopeful, my SO voted Jill Stein in 2008 and 2012, and Bernie in the primary. But we’ve talked a lot about the various candidates. Specifically, why is it compromising to vote for Clinton, but not for Stein, even though he disagrees with Stein’s positions on energy and vaccines. Then last night he said he hopes Clinton wins by a landslide. Fingers crossed he will vote Hillary in November, I’m already having nightmares about Michigan going red.

      One vote at a time....

A post convention bounce of 4-5 points should give her the consensus lead in the general, hopefully for good. There’s just so much time left between now an 11/8, however. Lots of work to do in the swing states and please let there be multiple debates!

Unrealistic, but i would have loved to see her get a 20 point bounce. Pulling in Independents, Bernie Supporters, and Republicans that just can’t with Donald anymore.

There are a lot of people out there to bring over. I think this speech tonight did a lot to bring people over.

I was very worried about this speech. For the first time I saw a more humanized Hillary who finally learned how to not sound shrill. She came across strong and confident. Wish she was more middle of the road in the speech.

One thing is for sure, we all know Trump is literally seething right now with all the burns he got hit with tonight. Just keep tweaking him and he will lose his shit, it will be wonderful to watch

Gender aside, she is not the best public speaker/orator and has trouble really getting herself across to people in her speeches. It’s a valid critique (I was worried too, although “shrill” isn’t the right word).

For what it’s worth, I thought she did a fine job.

I have never felt more ambivalent about a candidate I was going to vote.

Yet I have never felt more fervent towards voting for someone in an election.

      It was my favorite part.

I made my 5 year old son sit through this shit. He was mostly confused and bored, but also listened intently and asked questions.

That thought crossed my mind too. She embraced the role of being the nation’s Mom-in-Chief: there for us when we need her, but not reluctant to give us a swift kick in the pants when we’re acting like goobers.

As a citizen of a country that has already had this happen, i say this. Congratulations America. It may have taken a while, but make sure this is not the end of this Journey, and make sure that this is not the last time this happens.

The difference between this convention and the GOP’s is night and day. I mean, we already knew the RNC was a complete shit-show. Even with the small protests every night in the arena on its worst day the DNC was ten times better than the RNC on its best day. Makes me proud. For once it’s not like herding cats on the Dem side of things.

Someone really needs to explain these “Bernie supporters”. I get it. They lost, they don’t like it. They think the system is rigged. And it is. It always has been. Where in the hell have they been for the last 100+ years of rigged political systems? Do they think there is a third option that no one but them is aware of? Do they really think that Donald Trump somehow is a better choice?

I really want to understand where their collective mind is at this point and why they seem so damn determined to help Donald Trump get into the White House and why they think that choice is better then Hilary Clinton despite the fact Trump is the opposite of Bernie is nearly every way possible. What in the hell do they think they are accomplishing with their continued bitching and moaning besides helping Donald Trump? At this point I can only think they are Trump supporters in disguise.

Because for any extremist, “compromise” might as well be a vulgar word.

They are the liberal Tea Party. They don’t want to compromise; they want to command. They demand everything they want, nothing they don’t, and if they don’t get it, then the world must burn.

They think that four years of Trump would be the napalm that completely scours “The Establishment” clean and gives them the opportunity to construct their progressive utopia.

They are spoiled entitled milennials who have grown up with participation trophies for everything and who have never felt a loss. They literally don’t know how to process losing and this is the result.

The sooner these dumbfucks wake up and realize that they aren't special snowflakes and that sometimes they don't get what they want the better.
