There’s already audio or video of his son talking about all the Russian money pouring into their real estate projects.

Don’t forget, almost no bank will lend Trump money. He’s that bad of a business man. It wouldn’t be surprising at all if besides Deutsche Bank, he was relying on Russian oligarchs.

Talking points memo says no US bank will lend him money, with the exception of Deutsche Bank, which is of course, a foreign bank.

      It's simply amazing.

What we’re going to discover is that Trump pays zero in taxes. Zero. The releases we have seen reflect this. Trump figured out long ago that if he shows his businesses to be operating at a loss, he doesn't pay taxes. Once he figured that out, he realized he never had to pay taxes again. That's why he won't release the returns, because they'll reveal the dichotomy between the success he bloviates about and the losses he puts down on paper to the IRS. And that pretty much every other American, regardless of income, pays more in taxes than he does. The man should be in jail.

To be fair, almost the entire country is at a loss in regards to his candidacy, so if we can get our debt excused he could be onto something.

BTW, this? Hammering Trump on the tax return?

Between this and Barry-O bringing the roof down last night, this is how you start your counter-offensive.

This is such sweet payback for the birth certificate. So sweet that again I am wondering when Andy Kaufman is going to take off the mask. Only he could create such rich comedic irony.

Totally. I would love to see this issue — which, frankly, I don’t actually care about that much — become bigger and bigger, with increasing conspiratorial undertones, juxtaposed against a supercut of Trump asking for Obama’s birth certificate, just to irk the shit out of him.

This is such a non-story: Trump doesn’t have to file a tax return if Putin lists him as a dependent on his. Sad!

This really is unbelievable. Hillary has already filed the last 30 years of her tax returns as well as a complete audit by Arthur Andersen LLP of The Clinton Foundation.

How does he get away with not showing us his tax returns?

Dunno — The Fourth Estate has failed us yet again in their quest for ratings, and this has entrained them in a position of servitude and credulity? Like his failure to actually pay back his debts, Trump’s willingness to break all of the rules for his own benefit rears its ugly head yet again?

How does she get away using Arthur Andersen as her accountants? Yes, that ‘s the Enron partner in crime...

Anyone else just given up trying to assuage the concerns of people worried about a Trump win?

It’s like trying to explain basic math to Sanders supporters after this past May.

Perfect analogy! I don’t know how many times I have to talk about the electoral map, Trump’s rockbottom numbers with everyone who isn’t a non-college-educated white man, or the fact that attacks on Trump are only about convincing sane Republicans to stay home or vote third party.

I’m with you, but I think this kind of stuff scares people:

      http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-…

They see it and don’t bother digging into why it looks like that, and tend to miss stuff like this:

      http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-…

      Or, even better, this:

      http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-…

All the things that flamingolingo mentions are true. His electoral college path looks dicey at BEST, he has bad numbers with pretty much every demographic except one. But when you look at the insane stuff he says and does—things that we expect would have torpedoed a more conventional candidate—and see that he’s so close to his opponent, it’s a little unnerving.

Trump said Wednesday that he has no ties to Russia whatsoever, but that hasn’t stopped Democratic donors in Philadelphia from saying that in the absence of Trump’s tax returns, voters are left to wonder whether there are undisclosed financial ties between Trump and foreign entities.

There’s the strategy. The Democrats get to make up the narrative they want and since the orange haired abomination won’t every release his tax returns, they can just run with it. If he ever attacks Hillary for the Clinton Foundation’s dealings with foreign groups, she can just fire back that at least she’s transparent about it.

Exactly. I believe this is specifically why he has not gone after the Clinton Foundation. He knows there are skeletons in his own closet.
