You know - you just know - before this election plays out that he’s going to be up on stage with Stevie Wonder playing “Isn’t She Lovely” and Bill’s going to have a sax solo, and Obama’s going to be singing, and Hillary’s going to be swaying out of tune, and Joe’s going to be, well, doing whatever it is Joe does.

Early Kaine looks kinda like the guy playing young Han Solo.

      Young Hans Solo, huh?

I’m getting more of a serial killer Richard Ramirez vibe here.

Tim Kaine may be the most vice presidential man in the country whose name is not Joe Biden. It’s that special blend of political expertise and endearingly lame quirks (Kaine’s harmonicas, Biden’s obsession with ice cream.) Truly, the vice presidency will be in affable, milquetoast hands next January.

I agree, though I would’ve gone with Biden’s abiding love of trains.

Harmoaning. They were an all Nirvana harmonica cover band. Some really pretty “out there” stuff.

You’re missing the real story here... WHAT KEYS ARE THEY IN?

C / G / D / F would tell us that he’s insufferably attached to old timey country music, plays alongside guitarists who don’t understand Barre chords, and likely lacks imagination and vision for the future.

If at least one is in B flat, he’s into the blues, is willing to compromise with hard headed bandmates, and is honestly pretty cool.

If one is a chromatic, he is cerebral, idealistic, and prepared for any eventuality, but in the least convenient way.

Come on, Gawker- do your job!

I learned more from this comment than anyone has a right to glean from ANYTHING in Kinja.

I'm happy about that and I don't like it.

Meanwhile, The Intercept continues to apply actual journalistic scrutiny to BOTH sides of the election:

      https://theintercept.com/2016/07/27/ber…

Not meant as a direct criticism of Gawker’s coverage, which has been much more even-handed than the liberal mainstream media’s, relatively speaking.

I have a bad feeling about this...

We are just a few months from the Dave Matthews Band emceeing the inaugeration. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
