    I don’t know how to explain this, but I’ll try. I am basically of the #girliguessimwithher camp. I hate sexism, but tend to get way more het up about racism. I honestly didn’t have any *conscious* thoughts when I watched that schticky “glass ceiling” thing.

    But I burst out into SOBS anyway, when I saw it.

    Which utterly shocked me.

    You know what? Obviously this shit is meaningful to some part of my brain. Probably the part that— while my conscious brain has mostly forgotten these incidents for self-preservation (a girl has to get on with her life, right?)— has unconsciously stored all those times I was told to stop interrupting the boys, stop distracting them with my sexy tank tops, stop being weird and brainy and unattractive and hot and busty and ugly and off-putting and tempting and the like.

    Shit is real.

        I’m betting TPP. The other policies are things she can just let wither on vine (she’s probably not even opposed to them, but I doubt she wants to fight for them), but TPP’s got rich and powerful people pushing for it. Maybe they’ll change the name or something so they claim it’s not TPP.
