You’re a block from Reading Terminal Market and its many delicious eateries and you’re eating a Panera sandwich. Jesus wept.

I was just about to say the same thing. Andy, why wouldn’t you go to Reading Terminal? Was the line for DiNic’s too long? You can eat Panera anywhere! And Chinatown is another two blocks away. Dumplings for days.

TBH, the line for DiNics is always long.

I guess since NYC is all safe and stuff now, nobody needs the Guardian Angels.

    Thanks Obama!

On a side note, why do they still dress like they’re in a bad 80's film?

I’d be happy if a couple of them would take their berets to a dry cleaner.

They look like a Che Guevara inspired dance crew that could be used if they want to make Breakin 3: Philly Boogaloo.

NYC Guardian Angels? In Philly? Why not let the local chapter take care of it?

They look either like an off-Broadway cast of The Warriors or a Portuguese a cappella group.

Well wonderful. It’s always nice to see that job opportunities for vigilantes are available despite today’s economy. Considering the friends and family that washed out of the police or the military for various reasons, that are trigger happy, overly aggressive, and adrenaline junkies. (mom’s side of the family is touched in the head, which I inherited. Sure sis got the artistic talent, but I somehow got the superhuman talent of being mental. Woo!)

I’m not American... I understand these guys have a community history in a much more troubled 80's NYC.... but they freak me out. Walking around in their uniforms on “patrol.”

Nothing to fear, they’re just one of the thousand of American Volkssturm. At least this bunch is only baring arms.

I remember these guys from the early 80s! I see they haven’t updated their T-Shirts much, or their lingo. Stay strong, ride on?

I saw Silwa on the F train a few months ago, red beret and all. He looked just as bored and sad as everyone else trying to ignore the red blob in front of them.

These guys saw the movie The Warriors and thought it was a documentary.
