    It was me.

In the slate of current Disney pop princes and princesses, it goes Ariana Grande (wasn’t invited cuz donuts), then Demi Lovato (nice palatable vanilla choice, does some nice activist stuff, loves the gays too), then Selena Gomez (absolutely worthless as a vocalist, she can’t sit with us).

Nick Jonas likes to pretend he’s really adult and thus not family friendly, and Miley’s cool, but she’s like TOO cool for this shit. It was Demi by default.

Ariande Grande isn’t even a real person. She’s an animatronic doll that escaped It’s a Small World and is now terrorizing the world.

I’d go with whoever was in the cast of Spring Breakers. And I don’t mean that as a creepy old man. I mean that was a helluva way to shake that Disney stink off a career and be taken semi-seriously.

Tho Demi is cool for standing up for mental health issues, too.

Did I go back in time to the 90s or something? Does this mean I have to relive my marching band experience all over again? When I wake up tomorrow, will I be wearing jorts?

Like, I know it’s super hard to sit and watch what she says because it requires effort, but she literally says in the beginning she is mentally ill (bipolar I believe) and is there to champion the cause for people who aren’t privileged enough to be able to get help like she can. Which is something she has been actively doing before all this, opening up the conversation to her young fans that might be struggling (which is an important demographic for mental health, pls see suicide rates of teenagers). This takes like five seconds to look up, holy shit.

But, you know, I guess this article is okay - oh, wait, no, it’s actually pretty gross, nevermind. Come on, what is this?

Demi wishes she was worthy to carry Baio’s PBS tote bag, some of the best free schwag he’s gotten all year.

She’s a person who has been in the news for mental health issues, and she was there to say that Hillary Clinton cares about mental health issues. Then she sang a song.

    NBD, yo.

I’m no Lovato fan, she had that Twitter beef with Nicki Minaj and it screamed of desperation. But I really appreciated her presence and her raising awareness for mental health services. She was well-spoken and genuine.
